A 26-year-old male, a college graduate, first came to our center stating that he had studied music, was currently unemployed, had lost his dog of 17 years 20 days prior, was feeling down, and had come to our center of his own accord. He said he wanted to start his own business but that this was not possible under the conditions in Turkey. He mentioned that he was involved in import, export, and translation outside of his field and did nothing else.

After saying that he did not trust people, not even his girlfriend, he explained that he was extremely jealous, which led him to restrict his girlfriend's clothing and makeup, sometimes resulting in violence.

His history revealed that he was born via vacuum extraction at 8 months, that his mother fell down the stairs while pregnant, that he suffered a head injury as a child, and that his father was obsessive. Before coming to us, he had seen a psychologist, but it hadn't helped...

Since we knew that neurofeedback therapy, which is effective for obsessive-compulsive disorder, was the most important method to correct the coherence disorder in this person's QEEG scan, and based on our previous clinical experience, we saw that jealousy and suspicion disappeared when we corrected these coherence disorders, we thought we would be successful.

After 40 neurofeedback sessions, we saw that he had no more problems, and we learned this from his family. His jealousy had completely disappeared; in fact, his girlfriend had started to ask him, "Why aren't you jealous of me anymore?"

He happily expressed that his suspicions and anxieties were gone and that he no longer worried about his health. In a follow-up meeting 7 months later, we saw that the improvements were permanent. It was gratifying to learn that he had a new job, was working as a high-level manager, and was successful. The transformation of his brain into a functioning, productive one, and the peaceful life he had with his fiancée, were the most satisfying aspects of the treatment.
